Kenn Michael speaks with painter Adriano Farinella about his upcoming three-day workshop on the plein air style of painting  in Allentown's West Park .

The workshop will be held June 2-4, 2017 for the West Park Civic Association of Allentown. The proceeds raised will be used towards scholarships to the Baum School of Art.  More information on Adriano Farinella's plein air workshops can be found here.

Host John Pearce welcomes Rose and Rudy Ackerman of the Baum School of Art in Allentown. Rudy, an artist in his own right, is a former executive director of Baum.  His wife, Rose, specializes in jewelry and has been Rudy's business partner for years. Host Bathsheba Monk welcomes Rudy Ackerman, Director of Exhibitions and Collections at the Baum School of Art in Allentown, to talk about their new exhibition "Clarence H. Carter, Realism to Surrealism" opening July 10 in The David E. Rodale Gallery.  Carter, like many 20th century artists, had to find a way to steer his artistic vision from a pre-WWII aesthetic of homey, local subjects to the new world of abstraction which exploded in the second half of the century.
