Host Bill Dautremont-Smith interviews Mark Johnson, co-founder of Playing for Change, a multimedia organization created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music.

Assembled by Johnson, the multinational Playing for Change Band has been touring the world for the past 5 years and will be coming to Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks in Bethlehem on Thursday, June 12th at 7:30 pm with a drum circle at 6 pm which is open to all members of the Lehigh Valley community.

Gail Davies live on The Blend

Country artist and producer Gail Davies joins Carlos Benjamin in the studio for a live interview and performance. Accompanying her are band members Rob Price and Chris Scruggs. Davies and her band stopped by the WDIY studios ahead of their concert that evening at the Nazareth Center for the Arts. 

A GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter, Gail Davies holds the distinction of being the first female record producer in the history of country music and has worked with artists such as Emmylou Harris, Ricky Skaggs, and Neil Young. (Original air-date 6/6/2014)
