Don Miles

Don Miles is a former WDIY volunteer and former board member for the Lehigh Valley Community Broadcasters Association, Inc. (LVCBA), the organization which owns and operates the station.

Don began volunteering for WDIY in 2006, serving as local news host and board operator for the Friday broadcast of NPR’s All Things Considered. He then went on to serve as Vice President on the LVCBA board of directors until 2023.

Don described himself as a "Jersey boy (Exit 136)" and lived in Bethlehem for over 40 years. He was a retired environmental lawyer, widower of an Easton Area High School Spanish teacher, and father of "two amazing sons." Don's love of radio began listening late at night to legendary monologist Jean Shepard on WOR. He then blossomed as a DJ and went on to serve as the program director for Lehigh University's WLVR in 1969. Outside of radio, Don was an amateur photographer, hiker, and a board member of the Lehigh Valley Sierra Club and of the Pennsylvania Sierra Club.
