Youth Media Calendar 2017

 

The Youth Media Calendar is a listing of local events for both families and young adults compiled and produced by the students of WDIY's 2017 Youth Media Program.

 

Saturdays, 11:30 AM - ArtsQuest presents the P’s and Q’s Family Concert Series at  the TD Community Stage at SteelStacks. This event features local musicians and kid’s entertainment from around the Lehigh Valley. More information

 

Saturdays, 8:15 - 10 PM; Sundays, 2 - 3:30 PM - The Rink at 233 7th Street in Whitehall hosts public skating. It is an open skating session. Skate rentals are available. More information

 

Fridays - The Center for Mindful Movement is hosting a Healthy Parent, Healthy Child Pilates and Kids Yoga Class every Friday. Certified instructors will instruct both adult and kid’s yoga sessions. Group sessions are available as well as free parking and wi-fi. Located at 3434 Hamilton Boulevard in Allentown. More information

 

Every other Saturday, 10:30 PM - ArtsQuest presents the "Improv Comedy Power Hour" at the ArtsQuest Center at Steel Stacks. Anyone ages 13 to 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No children under 12 admitted.  More information

 

Wednesdays through Sundays until March 31, 10 AM to 4 PM - The America on Wheels Museum is running a "Fender Skirts and Poodle Skirts" exhibit exploring the automobiles of the 1950's. More information

 

Now through September 4 - The Da Vinci Science Center, located on 3145 Hamilton Boulevard Bypass, Allentown, is hosting “Goose Bumps! The Science of Fear”. Visitors can experience fear though fun activities and challenges while discovering the science behind physical and emotional responses. More information

 

Tuesday through Sunday until December 31, 10 AM - 4 PM - Are you interested in the history of where you live? If so, you can visit the Lehigh County Historical Society on 432 West Walnut Street, Allentown, to explore the “History of Lehigh Valley” exhibit. More information
