WDIY is pleased to announce the Annual Members' Meeting scheduled Thursday, November 14th, 2013 at 7pm to 8pm at the station’s 301 Broadway studio in Bethlehem for the purpose of Election of a Member Representative to the Lehigh Valley Community Broadcasters Association’s Board of Directors, a two-year term. The President of the Board of Directors, Michael Kraynak, will chair this important meeting.
WDIY 88.1 FM, Lehigh Valley’s community NPR station invites its members and friends to come out on Saturday, Oct. 5th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to assist with the planting of over 600 trees along the Jordan Creek in the Trexler Nature Preserve. The trees are being donated and planted as part of the station’s spring membership drive. During the on-air drive, the station partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Lehigh County Parks and Just Born, Inc. in offering to plant a tree for each new and renewing member of the station.
Bethlehem’s Fourth of July fireworks display will for the first time feature pyrotechnics synchronized to music. The City has teamed with Celebration Fireworks of Kutztown and WDIY 88.1 FM radio to bring the “pyromusical” to Bethlehem.
Celebration Fireworks uses computer software to choreograph multiple explosions in time with popular and patriotic music. More than 1,000 fireworks effects are placed in multiple firing positions to produce crossing patterns and motion sequences.
Next Sunday is Mother's Day. What are you planning for the woman who changed your diapers, wiped your nose, drove you to practice, and shaped you into the adult you've become?
WDIY has partnered with RichMar Florist of the Lehigh Valley to send a beautiful bouquet to that special Mom in your life.
For a donation of $100 to the station, we'll send a Designer's Choice Spring Mixed Bouquet to your mom...or any special mom...anywhere in the U.S. All you have to do is click the link below, fill out the simple form, and we'll take care of the rest.
