Previewing the CIRQUE IT! Festival on LV Arts Salon

CIRQUE IT! is Bethlehem's newest festival, a joyous 3-day celebration of the many faces of the circus arts, and a creative collaboration between ArtsQuest, Touchstone Theatre, and the Zoellner Arts Center (July 14-16, 2017). 

Hosts George Miller and Kate Scuffle preview Touchstone Theatre's 12th Annual Young Playwrights' Festival and Gala happening on May 13th at Zoellner Arts Center in Bethlehem. George and Kate talk with festival coordinator, Mary Wright, and a new playwright from Liberty High School.

The festival is Touchstone’s annual showcase performance of original plays written by Lehigh Valley students during the theatre’s Young Playwrights’ Lab.

Host Kenn Michael welcomes Emma Ackerman, star of a new one-woman show entitled The Complete and Authoritative Tour of Holy Stuff, presented by Touchstone Theatre.

Part performance art, part post-modern ritual, part magical mystery tour, Holy Stuff originated in 2015 as a ten-minute workshop performance for Ackerman's Masters dissertation project.

Performance Artist Jose Torres-Tama on LV Arts Salon

Award-winning performance artist and former NPR commentator, Jose Torres-Tama, joins hosts George Miller and Kate Scuffle to discuss his one-man, "Aliens, Immigrants & Other Evildoers," a sci-fi Latino noir multimedia performance satirizing the status of Latino immigrants as aliens.

"Aliens, Immigrants & Other Evildoers" will run November 3-6 at Touchstone Theatre in Bethlehem.

Mary Wright & Liz Russo on Take Charge of Your Life

Host Eleanor Bobrow is joined by Mary Wright, a Bethlehem storyteller who was preparing to present her one-woman show, Nae Swe, exploring her Burmese roots, at Touchstone Theatre.

Also on the program is guest Liz Russo, a stand-up comedian and Easton native, who uses comedy and laughter to demonstrate her struggle with addiction and recovery. Russo was preparing to perform Dry Humor--Stand-Up for Recovery  at the ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem.

Allentown Public Theatre Performers on LV Arts Salon
