Addiction

Eleanor Bobrow talked to individuals active in the Lehigh Conference of Churches about resources in the community that help people deal with mental health illness and addiction as a spiritual journey. Eleanor's guests were Larry Pickens, Director of the Lehigh Conference of Churches since 2014, and Christina DiPierro, Director of the Daybreak program since 2012.

For more than 60 years, the Lehigh Conference of Churches has brought together area congregations in responding to the needs of  "the least among us" while building ecumenical and interfaith partnerships.

Dr. Sanchez holds a Master's Degree in Counseling from Lehigh University and a Ph.D in Counselor Education and Supervision from Walden University Minnesota.

Eleanor Bobrow discusses the problem of addiction. What options are there to identify, help, and treat those with addictions problems? Her guests are  Scott Weisenberger , CEO of the Malvern Institute, and Jennifer Lively , Executive Director of the Malvern Institute's newest facility in Catasauqua. The Malvern Institute is the oldest, continuously operating drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in the Philadelphia area.
