Williams Center for the Arts - 2015/2016 Season

With its upcoming 2015/2016 season, the Williams Center for the Arts celebrates its 33rd year of providing a rich array of music, productions, art, and more on the Lafayette College campus in Easton.  This year, the Williams Center expands its artistic palette with the inaugural Theater series.

Host Kenn Michael speaks with Director of the Performance Series Hollis Ashby about this season's opening performance by distinguished jazz ensemble, the Barry Harris Trio on Friday, Sept. 11th at 8PM.

Host Kenn Michael speaks with George B. Miller and Kate Scuffle, founders of Selkie Theatre, about the US premiere of two plays, "Fragile" and "Dalgety," presented by "Selkie: Theatre Uncut" as part of the Ice House Tonight series at the Ice House in Bethlehem.  These two funny yet powerful pieces by Scotland's David Greig were first commissioned for the UK's exciting Theatre Uncut project, winner of Edinburgh Fringe First and Spirit of the Fringe awards, in response to drastic cuts in UK arts funding in 2010 and as a means of encouraging artists to band together.

Philadelphia Photographers: 1975 - 1985

Host Kenn Michael speaks with gallery director Santa Bannon about "Philadelphia Photographers: 1975-1985."  Featuring works from 49 Greater Philadelphia area photographers, this current exhibit chronicles a dynamic ten-year period in Philadelphia's history when many nationally and internationally known photographers made creative and collaborative contributions to the medium and photography community as a whole.  These photographers' works are recognized for their historical value and continue to be collected by major art museums and patrons worldwide.

Curlee Raven Holton Prints 1987-2013

Host Kenn Michael speaks with teacher, artist, and scholar Curlee Raven Holton about a current exhibition of Holton's works at Lehigh University.  The exhibit includes a collection of graphic work that spans Holton's nearly 30-year career in art, from his first lithograph to his current etchings.  His prints, described as both evocative and provocative, speak to our human experience and engage the viewer in a shared dialogue about significant personal, political, and cultural events.

Movies at the Mill Easton

Host Kenn Michael speaks with filmmaker and festival director Gershon Hinkson about Movies at the Mill Easton (MME), a film festival created to aid in the redevelopment of the city of Easton.

Rise Together Allentown
