Reminder: Three-Minute Fiction Round 11 Closing Soon

ARUN RATH, HOST:

And if you're just joining us, this is WEEKENDS on ALL THINGS CONSIDERED from NPR News. I'm Arun Rath.

(SOUNDBITE OF CLOCK TICKING)

RATH: That's the sound that means our Three-Minute Fiction contest is still open, but not for long. Round 11 closes in two days, so put those final touches on your stories and hit submit. The deadline to get your story in is 11:59 Eastern Time tomorrow, Sunday, May 12. And remember the great challenge our guest judge Karen Russell came up with?

KAREN RUSSELL: Your character finds an object that they have no intention of returning.

RATH: When you're submitting, note that your story can't be more than 600 words, and there should be only one entry per person. You can submit your stories at our website, npr.org/threeminutefiction. If you win, you'll have your story read on the air as well as published in the fall issue of the Paris Review. Get those stories in quick.
