Moya Brennan heads up this episode from the Mountain Stage archives, recorded live in West Virginia in December 2007. Brennan grew up in County Donegal, Ireland, as the eldest daughter in a musical family of nine children. Following the lead of their music-teacher mother and bandleader father, all 11 Brennans would often play together in the family pub.

Brennan later teamed with two of her siblings, as well as her mother's twin brothers, to form Clannad, which became one of the most celebrated Celtic bands of the 1970s, '80s and '90s. The band's song "Theme From Harry's Game" was played over the house P.A. at the end of every U2 concert from 1983 through '87, and continues to represent the sound of modern Celtic music. Brennan has collaborated with countless Irish musicians, including Van Morrison, The Chieftains and Bono, who once described her as "one of the greatest voices the human ear has ever experienced."
