Lunasa On Mountain Stage

Lunasa makes its first appearance on Mountain Stage, recorded live at the Paramount Theater in Bristol, Tenn./Va., in partnership with the Birthplace of Country Music. Lunasa has been playing acoustic Irish music around the world for 16 years now.

Mixing traditional Irish tunes and unique compositions, Lunasa has played the White House, sold out Dublin's National Concert Hall and, in 2010, served as Natalie Merchant's backing band on her album Live Your Sleep. Lunasa recently embarked on a series of shows with the RTE Orchestra, culminating in a fine live album. Led by Kevin Crawford on flute and whistle, the band also features piper Cillian Vallely, Sean Smyth on fiddle, bassist Trevor Hutchinson and guitarist Ed Boyd.
